A 45-year-old fisherman died after he drowned at sea near Madurandhakam on Sunday. Police said Kupusamy was fishing with three others when a high tide swept their boat, and Kupusamy was washed away. Police moved his body to the Madurandhakam government hospital for postmortem. Last week a 34-year-old fisherman drowned off Ennore on Thursday evening when a boat in which he was sailing with three others capsized, police said. While the others managed to swim ashore, the body of Shankar washed ashore on Friday. The city police sent the body to Stanley Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.
