Pension amounts for fishers and workers in the fishery sector, aged persons and widows for the period from March to September have been transferred to the pensioners’ accounts via the Kerala Fishermen’s Welfare Fund Board, according to an official press release issued here on Friday. Minister for Fisheries J. Mercykutty Amma said here on Friday that beneficiaries could take up irregularity, if any, in the disbursement of the pension amount with the local officers of the Fisheries Department by producing copies of the bank pass books.
