Bank of India celebrated Star Mahotsav recently in four branches, Mapusa, Patto Plaza, Velim and Colva. Various activities were undertaken in these branches during the celebrations as per the initiative announced by Dinabandhu Mohapatra, managing director and CEO. The bank formulated area based schemes for trawler owners. The scheme addresses the financial needs of the fishing community through concessions in rate of interest and processing fees. Term loans for purchase of assets like canoes, mechanized vessels, outboard motors, fish finding equipment, winches, fishing nets etc. and working capital for wages, fuel, ice, regular repairs of nets, etc., were given by officials. BOI’s other 50 branch offices also celebrated with officials eager to make relationship with the customer’s bigger, better and stronger. The bank’s zonal manager, Prashant Naik, was an active participant in the celebrations. During the day resolution of NPA with cash recovery and OTS settlement were approved. Financing in agriculture, Mudra, SME and retail loans which included finance to housing and vehicle were also undertaken on a big scale.
