A plan has been evolved for the promotion of the Inland fish farming business across the country.
Official sources told APP here on Sunday that currently 13,000 fish farms existed in the country and more than 50,000 people were engaged with fish farming.
The Fisheries Department has taken concrete steps for the promotion of fish farming and providing fish seed to interested persons in Punjab. Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) has prepared a feasibility report to facilitate interested people for setting up inland fish farming in the province.
