The Sri Lankan navy assisted in the repatriation of 41 Indian fishermen on Thursday evening a day after they were released from jail, officials said a today.
They said the fishermen were handed over to the Indian Coastal Guard Ship at the International Maritime Boundary Line off Talaimannar.
The Indian fishermen were arrested in separate incidents over the past one month while allegedly poaching in the country’s territorial waters.
