Three Myanmar fishermen were today rescued by local fishermen from a boat that was drifting near Nagapattinam coast in Tamil Nadu, India, police said.
Fishermen of Kameshwaram coastal village in Nagapattinam spotted the bamboo boat, approximately 35 ft long and 15 ft wide, about 500m from the coast, and three persons in it, police said.
They rescued the trio and handed them over to police.
Meanwhile, another group of fishermen brought the bamboo boat to the shore.
