The Angolan minister of Fisheries, Vitaria de Barros Neto, is visiting Brazil and Argentina during July 18-31 to strengthen cooperation, allAfrica reports.

The Angolan minister is being accompanied by Angolan businessmen linked to the fisheries sector.

The purpose of the visit is to deepen the relationship in the areas of fisheries, aquaculture and salt industry in order to contribute to the diversification of the economy and for the food and nutritional security.

The visit also aims for the exchange of experience at institutional and business level, so as to promote cooperation.

Issues related to training of staff, study visits, legal system, creation of partnerships amongst operators in the fields of fishing, aquaculture, salt industry and processing of fishery products will also be discussed in the meetings with members of governments of the two South American countries.
