Egyptian naval forces saved 31 fishermen from drowning after their boat capsized in the Red Sea, South of al-Qusair city, Youm7 reported Thursday.

Spokesman for the Red Sea Ports Authority Abdel-Rehim Mostafa said that an immediate rescue team accompanied by a military helicopter headed to the sunken boat after receiving distress signals.

He added that there were no causalities and all the fishermen were saved.

On Sep. 3, a total of 30 Egyptian fishermen drowned off Libyan shores; only four were rescued and admitted to a Libyan hospital, head of the Fishermen Syndicate Ahmed Nassar quoted one of the survivors as saying, according to Youm7.
