According to a press conference held on 11th May, the 9th China International (Xiamen) Fisheries Expo is scheduled to kick off on 22nd May at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Centre.
This year’s expo, which will cover an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters and have 1,000 standard booths, is the largest of its kind in the southern China region, the 2nd largest in China only second to the Qingdao Fisheries Expo, and the fifth largest of its kind in the world, according to the organizing committee.
Nearly 300 exhibitors have completed registration for the expo, of which about 85% of them are domestic exhibitors and the rest are from 22 overseas countries and regions.
Since its debut in 2006, the annual event has strengthened its influence and become a professional trade platform for the fishery industry. The exhibitors of the expo will exhibit the latest products and services including aquatic testing equipment, aquaculture equipment, fishing equipment and aquatic products and services.
The expo will open to the public for free from 23rd to 24th of May. A special aquatic products and marine health food area will be set up during the expo.
