BRAZIL – The government is now selling aquaculture sites in Ilha Solteira. The areas offered are designed for small, medium and large producers interested in producing tilapia painted cachara, pacu, and piracanjuba tambacu.

In order to boost fish production in the Parks, the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture has launched bidding documents for aquaculture sites in the area.

Altogether there will be five fish farms. Together, they account for more than 91 acres of water depth with a capacity to produce more than seventeen thousand tons/year of fish and directly generate about 274 jobs.

The areas are not expensive and are in a bidding form.

Aquaculture sites are also available for entrepreneurs in other states: Parana, Goias, Pernambuco, Bahia, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
