In all, 36 fish farmers along with ASM, GB attended a day-long training-cum-demonstration programme held at Guhain Gaon, Namsai on Saturday to mark Fish Farmers Day’. It was jointly conducted by the BTT, Mahadevpur, ATMA, Namsai district and Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Lohit under ICAR-NRC on Yak. During the programme, Mahadevpur SVO-cum-BTT convenor, Jayanta Mungkhang informed the farmers about the various schemes of ATMA and advised them to avail the facilities. KVK Project Coordinator incharge, D. Sasmal also informed the trainees about ways to solve major problems related to low productivity and management of fish pond while, ATMA, SMS, Haridasi Sasmal trained the fish farmers on composite fish farming and described remedial measures of pre-stocking management of fish pond and post stocking management to increase the yield.
