State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Narayan Chandra Chanda, MP, fist farming is undeniably essential to reduce protein deficiency and unemployment problem. Chandra said this while addressing a meeting on the occasion of his visit to a cage-fish farming project in the river Padma at Pirijpur School area under Godagari Upazila in Rajshahi as the chief guest on Saturday, reports BSS. He said the present government is working to make the projects of livestock and fisheries time-fitting and people-oriented. With breakthrough of the projects fish production and farmers income has been enhanced contributing a lot to bolstering country’s economy. With District Fisheries Officer Subash Chandra Shaha in the chair, Project Director Anwarul Haque and entrepreneur Shafiul Islam also spoke at the programme.
