The ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Kochi, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Fisheries, Government of Himachal Pradesh, for setting up a canning and fish processing unit with technical consultancy from the Central Institute here. Thakur Singh Bharmouri, Minister for Forest and Fisheries, Himachal Pradesh, was present at the MoU signing ceremony on Monday, said a press release here. The Minister lauded the role of ICAR-CIFT scientists and said the MoU would strengthen the linkage between ICAR-CIFT and his department of fisheries C.N. Ravishankar, Director, ICAR-CIFT, spoke and recalled the Institute’s efforts to help various State governments.
