This document provides a summary of the presentations, discussions, conclusions and recommendations of the Expert workshop on gender-equitable small-scale fisheries in the context of the implementation of the SSF Guidelines held in Rome, Italy, on 2830 November 2016. The workshop was organized by the Fisheries and Aquaculture Department of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) with support from the Gender Team of the Economic and Social Development Department as well as from the International Collective in Support of Fishworkers (ICSF).
