The Israeli navy gunboats opened fire Saturday morning on the Palestinian fishermen and their boats while they were sailing offshore Gaza city.

Local sources reported that the Israeli naval boats intensified its gunfire towards the fishermen and their boats near Al-Sudaneyya shore causing great damages in the boats.

The Israeli navy and army target the Palestinian fishermen off Gaza shore on a daily basis.

Israel and the Palestinian factions signed a ceasefire deal on August 26, ending the 2014 summer Israeli offensive on Gaza that took 2,200 Palestinian lives.

Under the terms of the ceasefire, ‘Israel’ was to immediately ease the blockade imposed on the Strip and expand the fishing zone off Gaza’s coast, allowing fishermen to sail as far as six nautical miles from shore. However, ‘Israel’ has repeatedly violated the ceasefire deal by opening fire on Palestinian fishermen within the fishing zone and reducing their intake.
