Ilango who is the Vice President of Indian National Congress Party of Puducherry State is the chair person of National Fishworkers Forum. Now, the National Fisherfolk Forum would like to provide electric scooters for Women Fish Hawkers. The electric scooters will benefit the women fish hawkers. The specially designed electric scooters will be distributed by National Fisherfolk Forum to women fish vendors. As per the latest reports, a total of 150 electric scooters distribution will take place for the women fish hawkers in Puducherry. A team of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has designed and developed the electric scooter. Also, the electric scooter will work on battery. The electric scooter is designed in such a way that it consumes less power. One can also charge the electric scooter from houses.
