The National Fisheries Advisory Council which was inactive for three years has been re-launched since yesterday, said the Fisheries Ministry. The main objectives of the Fisheries Advisory Council will be to solve the issues relating to fisheries industry and contribute towards its development. The 48 member council will include members from the Fisheries Ministry, as well as Environment, Land, Tourism ministries. Members will include officials from departments of Coastal Conservation, Agrarian Development, irrigation and Wildlife as well.
