Seven Sri Lankan fishermen were arrested for allegedly conducting illegal fishing activities in the northern off seas off Pigeon Island. The arrest was made by the Sri Lanka Navy in the Eastern Province.A dinghy, illegal fishing nets and other equipment used by the suspects were seized by the Navy.Naval forces said that the suspects and their equipment in custody will be kept at the Kuchchaveli Police Station for further inspections.
